DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

A superb diamond and ruby target ring dating from the Art Deco era, circa 1920. One of the nicest examples we've ever presented, it's crafted in platinum throughout and set with a central .95ct old European cut diamond and a halo of French cut rubies. The head is bordered by a fine seam of millegrain platinum, and the split shoulders each host a bezel set diamond accent. It's beautifully crafted, with intricate pierced openwork gallery, and the rubies at NE, SE, SW, and NW are protrude from the circle giving the impression of an X cross. Would make a fantastic alternative engagement ring.
