Get lost in this magnificent French Art Deco jewel. Three graduated squares of graphite-colored marcasite sit atop each other, set in engraved sterling silver boxes. The stones' edges are softly faceted, giving the black mirror of the marcasite a mesmerizing depth. A fourth rectangular marcasite is set in the pendant's bale. This fabulous necklace finishes with a modern sterling silver chain. The side of the pendant bears a French hallmark, and the back is stamped with Maurice Lespous's maker's mark. Simple yet utterly profound, this unusual marcasite application takes the breath away. Circa 1920.

Details.....The necklace is 24" long, and the pendant measures .73" by 1.60", 2.05" with bale. In Very Good Vintage Condition. Some wear should be expected on all vintage and antique pieces; it is part of their charm.
