Soothing and glowing, a misty, cucumber-green tourmaline cabochon sits, nested, inside a thick-walled, organic bezel, which tapers seamlessly into its ring's integral shank. This bubbly, triangular, tourmaline gem has been cleverly cut, leaving the natural, crystalline texture of its terminus intact on the bottom side— the gem's smooth high dome magnifies this rough crystal texture to magical effect! This ring is modern and organic— its graceful shape is reminiscent of the beautiful pixie cup lichens (Cladonia asahinae). Metal is 18k yellow gold; it is delicately brushed.
This ring was entirely handcrafted in Portland, OR, by collaborating, independent craftspeople and designers— even the cabochon was cut locally.
