A pair of sterling silver and vitreous enamel Art Deco cufflinks. This very handsome tonneau shaped cufflink is beautifully hand painted with a border of elongated Greek key design picked out in black enamel, and the center of each panel is hand painted in a very unusual marblesque finished pattern in a striking emerald green. Vitreous enamel is a glass based enamel, unlike most types of cold enamel found today which is a resin based process, less durable, and nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing. Each panel is stamped 'Sterling' and 'Silver'. Made in America, circa 1925.
